OLD IS GOLD!!!

On the streets of a far away village lived a very young boy. His name was Ali and was about 11 years old. He was an extra ordinary boy with a keen sense of learning. He was very intelligent and wanted to be an engineer one day . Ali lived with his mother and his sister and as for his father , he died in an accident. His family became very poor after his father's death. They could barely survive with the few money his sister received for teaching the village's children.

Unlike any other ordinary boy who's everyday routine would never change, Ali would have a different adventure everyday while gathering unique items. Everyday He would go and look for something remarkable .He would store all his things in his favorite spot in the house, which was the room where his mom would keep all the junk .

" Look mommy, What did i find today! It's a locket and i think i'm familiar with it, i found it in the swamp...."said Ali as he was all wet and dirty...

"OH MY GOD! look at you..... Are you out of your mind?? And what is this??"said his mother as she threw away the locket Ali just handed her....

"Go and get yourself cleaned"

Disappointed, Ali took the locket and rushed inside.....After being cleaned he placed the locket in an old container in the junk room.

"Ali!!...... Ali!!' called out his mother. Ali went and sat down next to her mother.

"Honey you cannot go around and pick up anything you find. And besides what if you get hurt... we cannot afford getting you medicines.... Why don't you understand????look , These things don't belong to us so we shouldn't take it".

"Mom no one goes in the swamp and i asked everybody if it was their's?? and it was not. And i am smart enough to know what to collect and what to not. You can trust me and i have a strong feeling that my this hobby will help us so much in the future".

His mother had a deep sigh and went inside.....Ali however took out that locket and stared at it for a few minutes.. He was thinking how he could use it for the ship he made by himself. He had the perfect idea for it and tried to see what else can he find from this locket. He pulled it hard and suddenly saw a compass attached to it.Compasses were not very common there but Ali had learnt all about it in his history class. He got very excited and thought of showing it to his mother but remembered how she didn't care about these things, so he went to show it to his sister who really appreciated Ali for what he had found. A few days later , Ali's sister got terribly sick because she had been working too hard for the family. His mother didn't have enough money to take his sister to the city's hospital. She asked many people for if she could borrow some money but no one was ready to help.

Ali's sister was in very critical condition and needed medical attention immediately. Ali looked around the house for he would find some money but failed. He went to the junk room and looked around his collected stuff but for the first time in his life thought that his things were useless. But he remembered what his father said to him before he died " Ali ,Nothing is useless in life, but if it seems useless to you then use it in a way ,from which you can gain help in your hard times ".

He knew what he had to do so he stood up, took his ship, his compass , and other creations he made and took them to sell. Nobody in the village wanted that old ship and most people didn't even knew what a compass was. He was hopeless and gave up . He threw everything with disappointment when the locket hit a man who was passing by.

"i'm so sorry sir !, i didn't mean to" Said Ali sadly.

The gentlemen in his black suit picked up the locket and was shocked for what he saw...

"Where did you get this??"asked the gentlemen..

"i found it..... um.. does it belong to you..? You can have it if it's yours.

"It is the century compass...We had been looking for it for years. I cant believe it you found it. You must go with me now....... to the city .We must break out this exciting news to the world..."exclaimed the gentlemen.

" What?? really!! But i can't go.... my sister... she is very sick , we need to take her to the city's hospital......

With that note the gentlemen took his whole family to the city where Ali's sister was good in no time. The Locket was an old artifact which was worth a lot of money .Ali's mother was so proud of him and they lived happily ever after.
